EDITORIAL POLICY


International Journal of Education Leadership & Development (IJELD) shall strive to uphold highest quality standards in Institute Of Chartered Management Association.

Each research paper/article received for Consideration of publication shall undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure quality and applicability of all published items to the scope of journal.

IJELD shall ensure a speedy review process so that the authors obtain communication regarding improvement/selection/rejection within 6-8 weeks of submission.

IJELD shall publish research papers/articles in the following categories:

  • Cutting-edge writing on educational leadership, including instructional supervision, curriculum and teaching development, staff development, educational administration and more.
  • A broad definition of leadership, including teachers-as-leaders, shared governance, site-based decision making, and community-school collaborations
  • An international medium for the publication of theoretical and practical discussions of educational leadership, across a range of approaches, as these relate to ethical, political, epistemological and philosophical issues
  • Alternative leadership approaches, styles, or models.
  • Cross-cultural studies of leadership.
  • Follower perceptions and attributions.
  • Implicit leadership models in different cultures.
  • Comparative studies of leaders across organizations and cultures.
  • Alternative formulations of follower-leader relationships.
  • Measurement of key dimensions of leadership and follower-ship.
  • Impact of faith and/or spirituality in leadership.
  • Motivational models applied to leaders and followers.
  • Social learning and leadership.
  • Leadership Effectiveness.
  • Leadership of diverse groups and in diverse settings.
  • Leadership of change.


  • IJELD shall publish both empirical and conceptual research papers, reflective articles, notes and commentaries, case studies, colloquium, interviews, brief biographical essays and book reviews.

    Contributors are welcome to discuss ideas for colloquium, case studies, interviews, book reviews etc. with the Editor.

    Journal may publish special issue to focus on a theme of global importance. Such projects will be handled by Guest Editors drawn from the Editorial Advisory Panel of IJELD.

    IJELD shall publish conference volume to disseminate body of knowledge evolving out of the conferences, conclave and workshops organized by Institute Of Chartered Management Association from time to time.

    IJELD maintains zero tolerance for plagiarism. Authors using copyrighted material without appropriate references shall be summarily blacklisted. IJELD publishes any worthwhile item in good faith and does not bear any liability whatsoever for breach of trust. In case of copyright violations, contributors alone shall be accountable. IJELD may levy a nominal publication fee in order to defray the cost of print and online editions.
